How LexAI verifies its documents
This page describes what LexAI does with every opinion and document before you receive it, and what it does not do.
What LexAI does with every document
- 1Selects legal acts
It divides your situation into legal issues and selects the applicable legal norms for each issue.
- 2Loads the text of norms from the source
Articles of Latvian legal acts are loaded from likumi.lv, and European Union legal acts from EUR-Lex. The document is prepared based on this text.
- 3Verifies references after preparation
Every article mentioned in the document is compared with the loaded text. If an article could not be loaded, it is clearly marked in the document, rather than concealed.
- 4Provides an overview and sources
At the end of the document, there is a norm verification overview and a list of sources with links to likumi.lv or EUR-Lex and the date of the revision.
- 5Does not undertake what it is not prepared for
In areas for which LexAI is not prepared, an opinion is not provided, and it is recommended to consult a specialist.
Quality metric
A document is included in this metric only if all requested norms were loaded from the primary source, the verification was not limited, the language check found no flaws, the opinion was not refused due to an unprepared area, and all attached files were read. Documents for which norm verification did not take place are not included.
This metric characterizes the verification process. It does not assert that the document is legally correct — this can only be evaluated by a lawyer in a specific case.
Source statistics
Since 19.10.2026, LexAI dynamically loaded and checked 135 legal norms from likumi.lv and EUR-Lex in 18 documents.
Limitations
LexAI is an artificial intelligence tool, not a lawyer. For important decisions, especially before going to court, it is recommended to consult a lawyer.
